Atoka Racers, Team, & Fans!!

What a horrendous week it has been. Our hopes are that everyone is doing
well in the aftermath of one of the most devastating few days of weather
we have had in our area in a long time. Many of us were touched in many
ways by this past weeks storm. We continue to keep all in our thoughts and
prayers as we go through the recovery process.

That being said, we too are in our own recovery trying to bring back a
hard hit track surface so we can race this coming weekend. We are doing
just that and this weeks race on Saturday, May 8th, WILL go on as
scheduled. The track surface is coming in very good after a very intense
few days of work. We had a lot of washout due to the flooding but we have
managed to work it into very good shape for this week's race and all
should be back to normal at our track.

This weeks' race is a regular points race and the Survivor Race is the
Junior 1 Class which will run 30 laps for double points and full 100%
payout. We ask you to preregister if you have the means to do so. The link
will be below and if you preregister, it does help us in registration on
race day.

Also if you didn't already know, we now have our own fan page on FaceBook
and it is an excellent way to keep up with current happenings at the track
and all updates are posted there as well. You can also interact with the
page and its an easy way to stay informed while on FaceBook.

As many of you know, Clayton & Sherry Allen, our track owners, took a huge
hit this past week as they we flooded out of all of their business
operations and their home on Quinton Rd which was flooded by over 8 feet
of water. I talked to Sherry yesterday and she said they were taking
things one day at a time and were still in a state of shock dealing with
what has happened to their livelihood, and their home. We ask you all to
keep Clayton & Sherry in your thoughts and prayers as they go through a
very difficult rebuilding time both on a personal and business level.

So once again, we ARE racing this Saturday, gates open at 10 AM. The
weather is scheduled to be excellent with sunshine and temps in the 70's.
It will be a great place to unwind from all that we have been through over
the past week.
